My name is Madison Oswalt, I’m 17 years old and from Butler, Ohio. I’m a junior in high school and attending the Knox County Career Center in the cosmetology program. I started shooting at a local gun club in Centerburg, Ohio when I was 11 years old. Along with trap shooting, I play soccer for my high school and I enjoy deer hunting. I also really enjoy going to local gun clubs during the winter and shooting their programs.

What’s your advice on getting new lady shooters involved?

Don’t be intimidated by the sport or the gun. If it’s something you think you want to try just go for it. Just find a local club and try a practice round and see how it goes. You’ll be amazed on how people are always willing to help new shooters.

What knowledge can you share that would make ladies better shooters?

Probably the most important thing getting started would be getting the gun fitted to you and figuring out your stance.
