I began shooting competitively in 2015.

My passion for this sport all began back in 2015 when I was in the 7th grade. I joined the Strong Rock Christian School shooting team and competed on the Southern Elite SCTP team during Strong Rocks off season. I furthered my shooting career after graduating high school in 2021 and signed full time with the Emmanuel University Clay Target Team where I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Business. While being a full-time student at Emmanuel, I pushed myself to successfully achieve my NSCA Level 1 Instructors Certification in July of 2023 then, achieved my NSCA Level 2 certification in January of 2026. With being a part of the Emmanuel team, I was able to compete in skeet, doubles skeet, trap, doubles trap, sporting and super sporting. I also travel to compete in NSCA registered events participating in many other side events including FITASC. I am an associate instructor for Matson Shooting Academy under the direction of Cody Matson who is a NSCA Level 3 certified instructor. After graduating from Emmanuel in November of 2025, I took a job with Cherokee Rose Sporting Clays as their assistant clubhouse manager and director of marketing. I am additionally instructing full time when I am not traveling to competitions.

What’s your advice on getting new lady shooters involved?

You never know if you’ll like it until you try it. Always believe in yourself and your capabilities because you are fully capable of absolutely anything you put your mind to. The world of clay target shooting is very special. It is a place that you can call your second home. No matter what, you will always have people right there behind you cheering you on every step of the way. This sport is truly like no other and the memories you will make along the way will be unforgettable. There are so many wonderful ladies involved in the shooting world that will be there to help you, root for you and want the best for you even outside of the sport itself.

What knowledge can you share that would make ladies better shooters?

Be confident and own that field or station while you’re in it. Never give up on yourself and always remember to take it one bird at a time. Every single target counts so, it really helps to treat every one of them as your first. I watched a movie once; it was called Seven Days in Utopia and it’s a golf movie. It was fitting to watch especially since sporting clays is like golf, but with shotguns. In the movie it talks about a saying… see it, feel it, trust it. That saying has always stuck with me when I shoot because I want to see my piece on the target to the best of my ability, feel the connection and trust it to successfully take the shot. S.F.T is something to remember. Not only that, but it goes on to relate to our relationship with the Lord… see Gods face, feel His presence, trust His love. There isn’t anything you can’t do! At the end of the day, you must whole heartedly believe in yourself and be grateful for how far you’ve come.
