What’s your advice on getting new lady shooters involved?

A piece of advice I’d give to a new lady shooter is to focus on learning and enjoying the process rather than comparing yourself to others. Everyone starts somewhere, and progress comes with patience, consistency, and confidence. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, try new things, and learn from those around you. MOST people in the shooting community are more than willing to help and support you. It’s also important to trust yourself and stay grounded in why you started. Shoot for yourself, Not others. Stay calm under pressure, and remember that bad rounds don’t define you, they teach you. Surround yourself with positive people, lean on your faith, and keep showing up with a willing heart. Growth will come, and confidence will follow.

What knowledge can you share that would make ladies better shooters?

Consistency and confidence matter most. You don’t have to be the strongest person out there, but having a consistent routine can make a big difference. Mounting your gun the same way every time, maintaining a simple workout routine to keep your body strong, and staying hydrated to support your eye health are all habits that will put you on the right track. You just have to always be confident in your mount and trust yourself. Learn from every round. Misses aren’t failures, they don’t define who you are as a shooter, they’re feedback. Instead of getting frustrated, ask yourself what you learned. Staying mentally steady is one of the biggest advantages a shooter can have. This sport is really a big mind game.

What gear do you use?

For shooting, I use my Pila glasses and I have 2 SYREN vests and my SYREN hats and visors, and my favorite thing to do is shoot in skirts and cute fun shoes. My favorite shell is Fiocchi! And for hunting I just wear my Vixyn gear.
