BIO

Year Born: 2002
Gun model: Syren Julia Sporting
Any Modifications: I have a Limbsaver Pad on the back of the gun to reduce some recoil and give me a better fit. I also have 32″ barrels with Rhino Chokes to smoke every target!
Began shooting:
Competitively, 2020

My shooting journey started following an injury weightlifting. My dad took me out to our local gun club, and I couldn’t hit anything. Come to find out, I was left eye dominant and supposed to be shooting left handed. I quickly switched and from there, I fell in love with shooting. My dad was my first and forever coach, and I always had my mom there as my biggest supporter. Through shooting, I have been blessed to compete in SCTP, GIAA, and NSCA programs while meeting some of my best friends and learning more about this sport everyday. Thankfully, I found my current coach, Wendell Cherry, about 2 years ago who has helped me develop my game and encourage me to chase my dreams. There is no way I would be where I am today without the encouragement and support from my incredible parents and coach. Now, I compete in the NSCA Championship Tour to hopefully achieve some of bucket list goals, while coaching my local high school and club teams. My biggest goal is to keep women shooting and encourage ladies to chase their wildest dreams everyday!

What’s your advice on getting new lady shooters involved?

My biggest piece of advice is to be fearless. Shoot the slower shells! Get the recoil reducer! Wear pink! Don’t be afraid or intimidated by shooting, and don’t be afraid to ask for help! There is no shame asking all the questions you have. The shooting industry is full of the best people who are always willing to help their fellow shooters!

What knowledge can you share that would make ladies better shooters?

First and foremost, find a gun (Syren!) that gives you a comfortable and correct gun fit.

Shoot with and what makes you the most comfortable! There’s no need to beat yourself up shooting hot shells or be uncomfortable shooting in shoes you don’t like. Be you!

Find a shooting group or friend! Trying something new, traveling, competing – are all much easier when you have friends by your side. Plus, you can always learn something new about shooting or even yourself when surrounding yourself with a good group of people!
