Any Modifications: I had Cole’s cut an adjustable comb to raise the height of my LH stock.
Began shooting: I started shooting clays in 2020, but I’ve been around guns my entire life.

When I was in 6th grade, I joined the Westfield School clay target team. I wasn’t really sure if it was for me, but I’m no quitter so I was determined to finish the season. When the state championship came along, I ended up placing 5th and I was hooked. That first taste of real competition sold me completely. After my first two seasons, I really wanted to shoot at the next level, which is when I joined my SCTP team: Central Georgia Elite. I loved the higher level of competition and soon I began competing in NSCA tournaments in addition to my teams. I have since competed in a variety of levels of competition and seen so many different targets and I am better for it. I’m now able to compete in skeet, trap, sporting, fitasc, and more.

Do you give shooting instruction? While I am not an NSCA certified coach, I have begun to give beginner lessons to get a feel for coaching before I take the step to get my certification in the future.
Home Club: My home club is The Meadows Sporting Clays in Forsyth, Georgia.

What’s your advice on getting new lady shooters involved?

I think it’s really something you have to experience for yourself. There’s really nothing like it. Anyone can shoot regardless of age, physical condition, or athletic ability. That’s what makes it so cool. It’s inclusive, and we have the most amazing community that takes care of each other. Like my dad always says, clay shooting doesn’t have a bench. Everyone gets to participate, no matter the skill level. No one tells you you can’t, and your progress is applauded instead of ignored. And I think that the more amazing women we have in the shooting world, the more amazing women we’ll attract. Plus, we tend to have a pretty good social media presence, so spreading the word isn’t too hard.

What knowledge can you share that would make ladies better shooters?

I think the best way to get better is by setting goals for yourself. The only way you’re really going to work and get better is if you have a reason. Making a goal just gives you that reason. Maybe it’s just reaching a certain score or maybe it’s winning an event in a competition. Later maybe it’s winning a tournament or chasing the pros. Whatever it is, it’s so good to have goals because they push you to get better. That drive is what can make a girl so much better. And winning isn’t everything but don’t think just because you’re a girl that you can’t win. In a male dominated sport, it can be easy to count yourself out before you ever pull the trigger but overthinking is your worst enemy. Having confidence is a huge part of being a better shooter too. But as long as you love it and keep shooting, you’re always going to get better.
