My family has always had a love of the outdoors. Growing up I remember tagging along with my dad, David Hudgins, to the different local sporting clays clubs and even taking family camping trips to shooting competitions. When I was around 15 or 16 my dad started teaching me how to shoot clays, and I loved it straight away. I quickly joined the NSCA and started shooting competitions regularly. When I am not shooting you can find me spending time with my husband and three-year-old son, and when I am able, I also enjoy going out for a ride on my motorcycle (2013 Suzuki GSXR-750) .

Primary Disciplines:

Sporting Clays, and FITASC

What’s your advice on getting new lady shooters involved?

If you are interested in shooting, get started! You can find a listing of clubs near you on mynsca.com and many will have shooting instructors on staff. I have found the sporting clays community to be very supportive and welcoming.

What knowledge can you share that would make ladies better shooters?

Always shoot with people who are more experienced than you, and observe what they do. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. I have found most shooters are very willing to help.
